En 1991, su hijo Juan Carlos Vizcarra sigue los pasos de su padre elaborando primero vinos jóvenes y posteriormente vinos de guarda.

Bodegas Vizcarra


En los años 80, José Manuel Vizcarra Aguado fue uno de los pioneros en realizar plantaciones de viña cuando todavía nadie apostaba por la zona de Ribera del Duero.


En 1991, su hijo Juan Carlos Vizcarra sigue los pasos de su padre elaborando primero vinos jóvenes y posteriormente vinos de guarda.


En el año 2007 se inauguran las nuevas instalaciones en las que todos los procesos de elaboración y crianza se realizan por gravedad, evitando la utilización de bombas.


Actualmente, Juan Carlos Vizcarra, enólogo de la bodega, investiga y elabora microvinificaciones de uvas procedentes de viejas parcelas.


Viñedo


35 hectáreas de Tinto fino, en formación de vaso y espaldera, una hectárea de Merlot y plantaciones de otras variedades foráneas, son el pilar para conseguir siempre vinos con características propias.


Vendimia


La vendimia se realiza en el momento óptimo de maduración, siendo ésta recolectada absolutamente a mano, recogiendose los frutos en cajas de 15 o 20 kilogramos que son transportados con sumo esmero hasta la bodega. Toda la uva pasa por la mesa de selección.
