Bodega Valdelosfrailes

The origin of the Valdelosfrailes Winery as goes back to the tradition wine for the family of Carlos Moro, which comes cultivating vines and making wine in the traditional manner in their cellars, where magnificent clarets were produced until Carlos decided to bet on renewal and production of new red wines in the area, back in the year 1998.

The successful experience in the creation and development of  Bodega Matarromera and Emina in Ribera del Duero, has been an important endorsement for the wine group will enter into the area of Cigales creating the Valdelosfrailes Winery, with the same aim of creating wines that are known internationally for their quality and personality.

The Valdelosfrailes Winery rushing an ambitious investment plan to properly size the winery and to provide the necessary own vineyard for the timely preparation is located in 1999.

Location

Valdelosfrailes Winery is located in Cubillas de Santa Marta from Valladolid municipality and belongs to the emerging Denominación de Origen Cigales, refers to red wines.

Soils

Origin of clay sand, with good depth and presence of boulders on the surface, ideal for the cultivation of the vine.

Vineyard

Valdelosfrailes Winery is surrounded by manicured vineyards, dominated the main variety of the area, the Tempranillo o Tinto Fino, in part, architect of extraordinary harvest of 99, which was raw the first wines that came out to the market.
