In 2011 the winery was acquired by the BASTIDA FAMILY, changing the commercial name to Bodega Alceño, and providing new wisdom and adapting the wines to the consumer, maintaining the same philosophy of the winery, where investments were made and continue to be made to adapt the winery to the new consumer trends, currently has modern winemaking techniques, In recent years, adapting to the times and market trends, BODEGAS ALCEÑO SA is changing the concept of monovarietal production such as our native variety Monastrell, and also produce wines from the coupage of varieties such as Tempranillo, Syrah, Garnacha, Garnacha Tintorera, Cabernet Sauvingon, in reds and Sauvignon blanc, Verdejo, Airen and Macabeo in whites, not ruling out Rosés, sweets with natural carbon dioxide, etc. and being the first winery in Jumilla to elaborate the first Champanoise Rosé de Monastrell method, the current management and technical team of the winery, which has been led since 1997 by the oenologist Mr. Juan Miguel Benítez García, has not given up in its effort to experiment new wines with which to break into the national and international market firmly and decisively.
