CAN AXARTELL is a unique combination of tradition and modernity in Mallorcan viticulture. The estate, made up of vineyards, olive groves, forests, mountains and streams, was abandoned for a long time before being rediscovered in the 1990s. During the restoration of the centuries-old “possessió” (traditional Mallorcan country house), planting began the first vineyards, which from the beginning were cultivated under certified organic production guidelines.

Is a unique combination of tradition and modernity in Mallorcan viticulture. The estate, made up of vineyards, olive groves, forests, mountains and streams, was abandoned for a long time before being rediscovered in the 1990s. During the restoration of the centuries-old “possessió” (traditional Mallorcan country house), planting began the first vineyards, which from the beginning were cultivated under certified organic production guidelines. The modern winery was built in 2012, following the guidelines of Can Axartell: respect for the grape, the environment, the people who grow and produce it, as well as respect for the people who enjoy the wines.


The first Can Axartell wines were bottled in 2013 and have since built a good reputation on the island and in the world of wine. There are different ways to make wine. Wine can be made quickly, with a lot of pressure and energy, but it is also possible to dedicate time and respect to the wine. This is what they do in Can Axartell. From the harvest to the reception of the grapes, from fermentation to maturation and bottling, the wine is treated with the greatest possible care. For this reason, the winery was designed and built around the Gravity Method, which means that the wine and the grapes move exclusively by gravity.


Can Axartell produces one rosé wine, two white wines, three red wines and a small selection of limited edition wines. The wines are an expression of the Mallorcan wine tradition and also a reflection of the changes that have taken place over the centuries, which is why local grape varieties coexist with foreign ones. Can Axartell produces wines for daily consumption and wines that are excellent companions for meals, but above all, it produces wines that reflect the soul of Mallorca in multiple facets.
