Aragón

En Aragón se siguió en los años 80 la estrategia de delimitar las zonas de vino de la tierra con criterios geográficos, pensando en la posibilidad de conseguir la Denominación de Origen a medida que se fueran desarrollando. En los últimos años, debido al auge de los vinos de Aragón, algunas de estas zonas han visto la posibilidad de progresar, para lo cual han empezado a tomar iniciativas encaminadas a mejorar la calidad del producto y favorecer su comercialización. En la mayoría de los casos, los propios productores se han asociado voluntariamente para fijar los criterios de actuación encaminados a promover el desarrollo de los vinos de las zonas, y para establecer sus propios controles en la producción, sabedores de que, al ser nuevos en el mercado, sólo tienen una oportunidad para causar una primera buena impresión en los consumidores.

Localización

En la actualidad el territorio vitivinícola de Aragón está formado por las cuatro denominaciones de origen; Somontano, Campo de Borja, Cariñena y Calatayud, y por seis zonas de vino de la tierra: Valle del Cinca, Ribera del Gallego/Cinco Villas, Bajo Aragón, Campo de Belchite, Valdejalón y Valle del Jiloca.
