BODEGAS VIYUELA

VIYUELA WINERY

The Viyuela family started giving a strong boost to their winemaking activity that goes back to the beginning of the 19th century, building a modern winery located in the same town, Boada de Roa. Where their ancestors made wine in the traditional way, an art, within the prestigious framework of the Ribera del Duero Denomination of Origin.

2003 the family decides to launch a high quality project, framed within the Ribera del Duero Denomination of Origin.

Old vines, manual selection of grapes and extreme care and affection in the elaboration of our wines, which can be appreciated in each sip, in each moment of enjoyment, in each experience... that is where we transmit our passion for wine.

Since the beginning of the 20th century, the Viyuela family has had vineyards in the Boada de Roa area, which have always been used for winemaking. Gabriela Viyuela was responsible for ensuring that this crop remained in the family for future generations.

The Viyuela family decides to turn around wine production and become more professional, building a modern and functional winery. Framed within the D.O. Ribera del Duero and with the goal of producing wines of great quality and high expression. At the head of the winery, as president, Andrés González Viyuela.

After the retirement of Andrés, President of the winery, his brother José Ángel assumes this role, hand in hand with his daughter, beginning to produce the generational change, which will be accompanied by numerous changes in Bodegas Viyuela and above all focusing on international markets .
