Color and Appearance:	Ruby red with garnet flares.
Nose / Aroma:	On the nose it walks on cracked notes of sour breasts in jam and juniper berries, then star anise and lavender, darker sensations of rhubarb and tobacco, all wrapped in a deep mineral breath.
Mouth / Flavors:	Enveloping and safe tasting, it is very elegant in its tannic texture and lively in the fresh back column that also characterizes the long persistence of salt.

CONTERNO NERVI GATTINARA

Founded in 1906 Nervi is the oldest winery in Gattinara. A forgotten region of Alto Piemonte at the foot of the Alps with an exceptional terroir.

Altitude, cold climate and soils of volcanic origin rich in minerals, granite and red clay come together creating ideal conditions for the cultivation of Nebbiolo.

Neither as firm as in the hills of Langa, nor as graceful as in Valtellina but always elegant, austere and long-lived. 28.5 hectares owned in the two Grand Crus of the area, Molsino and Valferana, and other historical Crus of interest such as Casacce or Garavoglie.

Since 2018 in the prodigious hands of RobertoConterno, convinced to make Nebbiolo from Gatttinara a world-class wine.
